A Welcoming Foyer

The entry of a home is very important.  It is the first place guest see and sets the tone for the rest of the home.  For the Collins’ new home in Bermuda I have chosen a relaxed and casual look.  It will be a light-filled space with windows on two sides.

Mrs. Collins loves live plants so I have built in a custom bench with space on each side for beautiful plants.  The Kravet fabric will bring in all the colors of the surrounding environment.

There will also be a large chest right as you walk in to put down keys, mail, etc. as well as for extra storage.  It is a fun coral/red color sure to invite guests in.

The round rug brings in the colors that will be used in the living/dining/kitchen spaces that adjoin the foyer.

The wall sconces and the overhead pendant light are reminiscent of lighting found throughout Bermuda and the Caribbean.

The gorgeous handcrafted sun mirror will reflect the light and ambience of their home.
