In Residential Design this semester I am designing the
interior of a whole home. It is a
beautiful 2 bedroom home with a wrap-around porch with French doors leading out
to the beautiful veranda. I have chosen
my home to be located on a picturesque beach in Bermuda. It will be the new home of a retired couple
from Maine. They honeymooned in Bermuda
many years ago and visited several times since as well. The couple loves to travel and hopes their
friends and family will travel to visit them at their new home.
The design of the interior spaces uses colors that can be found in the surrounding environment without being too overtly “beachy”. The muted browns, corals, golds and turquoise colors will be comfortable throughout the home. They do plan to use some of their existing furniture and accessories in the home, but for the most part they are going to be starting from scratch to build their dream home. I am excited to be able to help them on their newest adventure!
